Mission
Design, manufacture and test an autonomous remote-controlled (RC) prototype aircraft to meet the requirements of the request for proposal from the US Marine Corps. The project aimed to design and build an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) based on fundamental aerodynamic concepts. The process included the preliminary design calculations, propulsion system analysis, aircraft performance studies, guidance, navigation and control (GNC) development, computer aided design (CAD), the manufacturing process and plans for future testing and development. This project demonstrated the process of designing and delivering a piece of equipment for a customer with specific requirements in the field of US defense contracting.
